Downloading and Installing Your Links Directory

Download Instructions: All templates are "zipped" to download faster. If you do not have a program to unzip files, click here to get PowerArchiver for free.

Download the .zip file containing the pages and image folder, choose "save to disk" when prompted and select a folder to download the file to.
Open the folder you downloaded to and unzip it. The folder should now contain seven links pages and an images folder.

Instructions for Creating the Links Directory: There are two different ways to add the links directory to your site, you can create a new folder or add the pages to your main directory. I prefer #1, because it is too easy and helps organize your links pages.

One Step Directory - Create a new folder in the main directory, name it something like "links" or "links_directory," and upload everything into the new folder. The pages are already named, and if everything is placed in a new folder, the links will work perfectly without making any changes. Your link directory is finished, just add your logo as described below and start adding some links.
Placing the Links Directory into the main directory or an existing folder - Each Links Directory contains seven pages and an images folder, if you would like to put the files in your main directory, you will need to move all pages into the main directory and all images to the "images" folder. If you do not have an "images" folder, simply upload the "images" folder and links pages to your main directory. The pages are already named, and if everything is placed together in the main directory (including the images folder), the links will work perfectly.
Renaming File Extensions: All of our pages are created in the .htm extension, which will work fine for most web sites. If necessary, changing the extensions of the files to .html will not affect the operation of the pages, but you will need to change the hyperlinks within the pages to reflect the changes. When changing extensions from .htm to .html you may also be required to change the Home Page from default.htm to index.html.
Create a logo to place on the top left hand side of the page - the maximum size for this logo is 130x60 - Using a larger logo will distort the table. If you do not wish to create a logo, simply place text or a link back to your links directory or home page in this space.
Get Some Links for Your Pages - Search the web for quality sites to exchange links with and add them to your new links directory, the more the better.
That's It! You are ready to upload the pages to your site, just be sure that all of the links pages and the images folder are located in the same directory, moving either the pages or images into a different folder will break the links.
